The Lincoln Way Chapter has over 100 volunteers who assist with
Emergency Services, CPR and First Aid Training, and office support.
Just last year volunteers logged over 4515 hours at the Lincoln Way Chapter.
As a voluntary organization, the American Red Cross depends on
the generosity of people for both their time and money to provide disaster
relief and quality health and safety training.
The successful work of the Red Cross over the last 100 years
is made possible by thousands of volunteers and the generous financial
contributions of the American people.

Administrative
The Red Cross relies on its volunteers to help with office and administrative
duties. These areas include:
- Computer data entry
- Receptionist
- Special Events (ex. displays, presentations)
- Building Maintenance
- Special Projects (ex. mailings, fundraising)

Health and Safety
Volunteers who are certified can instruct CPR, First Aid, and Babysitting
classes.
Volunteers can also help with:
- data entry
- program development
- marketing of health and safety courses and products
- evaluation of current programs and services

Emergency Services
Be a part of the Disaster Action Team, Disaster Services, International
Services, or the Armed Forces Emergency Services.
- Provides immediate relief for disaster-caused needs - food,
clothing, shelter, and emotional comfort.
- Disaster team members also help develop programs to reduce
the effects of disasters and to promote cooperative relationships with other
helping services.
- In the event of a major disaster, all volunteers would be
requested to assist in the relief effort.
- Training is required for all areas of volunteering and is
provided through the Lincoln Way Chapter

Internships Available!
Fall, Spring, And Summer
- Get experience planning programs in a non-profit
organization
- Get experience marketing and implementing new programs for
all age groups
- Coordinate volunteers for classes and special events
- Develop strategies for marketing courses/services/first aid
equipment to area businesses and communities
- Work with local agencies through Help Central
- And much more!
